Brought up by two famous scientists on a lonely island off the Scottish coast, he was the subject of an amazing experiment to build a superman, a man of tremendous mental and physical powers. One scientist looked after his diet the other his mental powers.

Writer:- The Victor editorial team. Artist:- Jean Marie?

Main cast:- H.K. Rodd, the Wonder Man, Professor Graves; Dr. Codrington.

Time period:- Present day.

Can a man or woman if brought up on a beneficial food and health diet which increases their physical powers, whilst at the same time have an inquiring mind that understands science, mathematical and other subjects produce a Wonder Man? Well, that is the subject of this series. H.K. Rodd has been brought up by two scientists (no reference is made of what happened to his parents or what his initials stand for). As a result Rodd is able to withstand high and cold temperatures and pressures and has more strength than normal humans. He has learned to drive motor racing cars, fly planes and space capsules. He isn’t a superhero or a mutant with special powers and he doesn’t fight super villains. (Although occasionally he does tangle with bad guys). Rather he pits his “skills” against the elements and by driving motor racing cars and assisting in space and deep sea submersibles missions. These naturally go wrong and Rodd's special abilities are required to save the day.

In the first series Rodd investigates a hidden race of people in the caves below Penstone Hills, somewhere in Britain. Further series find the Wonder Man dealing with strange weather conditions, travelling into space and to the vast deep of an ocean.

The artwork for the entire series was drawn I believe by Jean Marie, although this needs to be confirmed. Apart from the artist's name I know nothing else about the artist. If anyone knows anything about Marie, please contact me. Marie's art style probably won't be to everyone's taste, but it does grow on the reader after reading a few episodes.

The following adventures of Wonder Man are from issues 2, 47, 50, 52, 56 and 60. Further adventures of the Wonder Man will be added at a later date.
