Another sporting humorous strip from The Victor. For this series, the long suffering mananger Maxie Bowley is being kept on his toes by his superstitious fighter, Sam Smallpiece. The humour springs from the trouble the duo get into as regards Sam's superstitions.

The artist for this series is by the ever reliant Bagnall, who has the ability to draw very humorous characters and setpieces.

The following adventures of Superstitious Sam are from issues 1165; 1168; 1169; 1170 & Summer Special 1970.
