Agent's Operational background history
Stone is regarded as one of the top dedicated troubleshooters of the Special Security Department. Known not only for his ability to use brawn when required, but also for his brain to get himself out of life threatening situations. (See the detailed pictorial report below). There has been much exaggeration in recent years about a secret agents adventures' due to the increasing feverish imaginations of writers and film makers. The reality is however, far different as this agent's work shows. Not for Stone the specially converted high speed cars with machine guns or defensive mechanisms. Nevertheless, this is a dark and dangerous job and death awaits many an unsuspecting agent. Which sadly is the case for several of Stone's colleagues.
This is another series that I enjoyed and is worth tracking down, reading and enjoying.
A detailed report of one of Mike Stone's adventures is reproduced below. (From The Victor issue 569). Stone was sent as part of the British Ski Jumping team to the European Police state of Bratzia to retrieve some important lists. In order to allay the countries secret police, that Stone was a member of the team's reserves, he had to make a ski-jump. Something he had never done before! This resulted in Stone breaking a leg on landing. The Secret Police still suspect him of being a foreign agent. How does Stone manage to leave the country openly, with a leg in plaster, through customs carrying the secret list with him? Now read on.
