This series was written by J.T. Edson, the well known American western writer. (Edson is English and wrote all of his stories in the UK. For more information on the writer please click on the following link - J.T. Edson).

Edson had a habit of using characters from another strip he wrote, making a guest starring appearance in another series. In this case it is Mike Fink from the King of the Keelboats series. (See issue 337). The King of the Keelboats is a series still to be posted on this website.

The following adventures of Jim Bludso and the crew of the Prairie Belle are from issues 325; 327; 329; 330; 332; 334; 337 & 1967.
