This short footballing series follows the adventures of a 4th Division side in their F.A. Cup run one season. At the start of the series, Roly "Poly" Jones doesn't even play for Scundale United, he's drafted in to make up the numbers for a training match. Despite his large build and not much footballing experience, Roly is quick on his feet and a solid defender.

Utd's manager, Harper is impressed and asks Roly to play for Utd. Jones though interested, is worried about his Scundale Pies business. He has a wooden shed at the ground from which he sells his homemade, highly prized, mouth wateringly, hot, tasty pies and cups of tea. [I want a pie and a cup of char myself now! Ed.] A solution is found whereby Roly's younger and slightly immature brother Simon, bakes and sells the pies.

The humour in this series takes place on the pitch as readers follow Roly's highs and lows as a defender and Simon's (it has to be said), wacky, but inspired methods of selling the pies. Especially at away matches, as Roly has no licence to sell his produce inside any away team's grounds. The Jones's first idea is to buy a refreshment van, whilst the second is highly inventive, to say the least! And a third idea involves Simon and Roly's Indian friend Singh, dressing up and pretending to be a Indian Prince, the Maharajah of Coochy Koo, who only eats Roly's pies. Please see the images below. And for the full story, see the episodes further down the page.

The second series follows Scundale United's attempt to win the European Cup Winners Cup.
