The strongman, Morgyn the Mighty has been in published for well over eighty years, first appearing in text stories and then later in picture stories. Ray Moore's research shows that, "Morgyn did first appear in Rover in 1928, in No 304 (11/2/28) [and] he only appeared in picture strip form in [a later Rover issue], the 1956 edition, the artist was Peem Walker".
Wearing only his trademark loin-cloth, Morgyn has travelled through many jungles of this world and in later stories visited many alien planets. An educated man of incredible strength he also has some ability of being able to communicate with animals. This series has a high body count, but please note that no lions, tigers and other wild creatures were killed or injured during the writing and drawing of this series!
Morgyn's advesries have included dictators, evil aliens, wild dangerous animals, greedy and merciless diamond and treasure hunters and so on. Stories include searching for a lost space capsule, treasure and in one series Morgyn being drained of his strength, left for dead and then working out and training to regain his strength.
