"A new motor-bike racing team was attracting attention on Britain's circuits. The riders were Jimmy Ellyk and Dick Potter and their bikes were four cylinder, 500 cc Smokestack Specials, built by Eddie Young the team's mechanic. Ellyk was a mystery man who had once been in a bad accident at the Jimmy Kelly Trophy race in Aintree. He walked with a limp and and his face had been repaired by plastic surgery, making it completely without expression."
The series follows the teams adventures on the racetracks of Britain and Europe and on attempting to break the motor-bike speed record. But the burning question throughout the series is, who is Jimmy Ellyk?
