Writer:- The Hotspur editorial team. Artists:- Bevan, Patrick and Bleach?. Main cast:- Zigimar, British secret Agent. Time period:- World War One. Britain's master spy during the First World War was known only by his cover name - Zigimar. His main speciality was that of disguises.
At the beginning of the second series the agent is operating from a German run school for spies, near Berlin, Germany. Known as Herr Groot, from Holland, he was the school's resident expert on pigeons. This was also a useful cover which allowed the spy to send secret messages back to British lines via the pigeons. Eventually, the Germans suspected that Zigimar was operating from the German school. Colonel Hesse, a counter espionage agent was sent to investigate. Zigimar made short work of Hesse and made his escape via Zeppelin back to England. Further adventures followed in France and other European countries with Zigimar eventually matching wits with Doktor Frann a sinster German secret service agent in Germany whilst attempting to disrupt the countries transport system. Frann had the uncanny knack of always knowing where Zigimar would strike next, but no clue as to which disguise the agent had adopted. Zigimar in one adventure even impersonated his driver and Frann didn't notice until it was too late. The spy always left his distinct signature of a letter 'Z
The following adventures of Zigimar are from issues 258, 267, 268, 302, 303, 312, 317.
