Writer:- The Victor editorial team. Artist:- Ted Rawlings.

Main cast:- Ben Bolam, Amos Squire and 'Pegleg' James Monroe.

Time period:- early 19th century, England.

Ben Bolam along with his friend Amos Squire operate a security delivery service in the early part of the 19th century. Bolam uses an armoured coach, pulled by two fast horses, accompanied by two dogs and an armed guard, to transport valuables around England. It is a difficult proposition for any criminal to attempt to rob the strong-box coach, but that doesn't stop them from trying. Bolam though is a wiley operator and has several aces up his sleeve to foil even the most determined robbery. But this is only one part of the series, Bolam is also a well known bare-knuckle fighter and the episodes also follow his fights in the boxing ring. Ted Rawlings artwork nicely captures the early part of the 19th century.

The following adventures of Ben Bolam, the Strong-box Man are from issues 546, 549, 551, 553 and 557.
