Guard Story No.10 - - First Meeting. Inspector Topham meets his new superior, District Superintendent Ferriby and they discuss several Railway policemen, based at Yorkton.

This Guard Tales short story concentrates on the Yorkton railway police force. It's essentially an introduction to some of the officers featured in some of the earlier stories. It's a way of providing a short background history of each officer. This type of story is set in one set, Ferriby's office, and is what I think the American TV people call, 'a bottle story.' That is, the characters don't stray away the main set(s). So in order for me to shoot the characters from different angles, in the one set used for this story, it meant the set had to have walls that could be removed and windows / doors that could be opened.
I was trying to do something else with this story, but the more I thought about it, the more I realised that I wouldn't be able to make it work, as we don't know the characters well enough yet. So I've put that idea on the backburner for the time being and will use the idea in a later story.
I've also introduced Topham's new superior officer District Superintendent Ferriby. Could be an interesting working relationship.
I should point out that I am starting to leave clues in some of these stories that hopefully will be made use of later on in other stories.
