"Stranger, turn right back on your tracks. Mushroom City ain't healthy for you, and the cemetery is already full."
These are the words which greet any stranger riding into Mushroom City. A city with this attitude needs a very special man indeed to be sheriff. Luckily, Bandy Walker is such a man. He doesn't even need guns when confronting the bad boys. No, Bandy confronts his opponents in gunfights armed with only two clubs, instead of guns. A brave man indeed.
This month’s review also has something that very few other strips featured in the Victor, Hornet and Hotspur comics had. And that’s a weekly title banner that changed most weeks to reflect some aspect of that week’s story. The above title banner for this page features several examples. Most comic strips tended to have the same title banner, (occasionally modified every so often), but not changing that much. This was possibly so readers could identify their favourite comic strip.
But the unknown artist for this strip, has put that little extra work into this series and as a result this series stands out.
The following adventures of Bandy are from issues 1; 2; 3; 5; 6; 12; 13; 17; 44 and 45.
